Rhett Rotten’s time machine
That front-page story Thursday about Rhett Giordano and his “Wall of Death” motorcycle act jerked us right out of our computer-equipped office cubicle and back in time to a gaudy carnival midway, where young louts from the sticks emptied their pockets to see daredevils like Giordano defy death and gravity as they raced on two wheels around the sides of a giant barrel.
